John Ade delighted our audiences as Harold Hill in The Music Man and played Georges in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? At Elmwood Playhouse he appeared in La Cage aux Folles (George), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Henry Jekyll), The Little Foxes (Oscar), Urinetown (Officer Lockstock), The Lifespan of a Fact (John), The Pillowman (Detective Ariel), and Songs for a New World. He also played Engineer in Antrim Playhouse’s Miss Saigon. He worked in education for nearly 30 years and enjoys traveling, especially to Mexico. John, whose mother was Miss Carol in the 1960s on Romper Room, lives in a house where Mick Jagger once spent a summer.
